Sponsor a Player
Make soccer accessible for all. We believe every child deserves a chance to learn the game of soccer. Some families face financial challenges and your support can make a difference. By sponsoring a player’s season fees, you provide access to training, games, and team activities that build confidence, teamwork, and life long skills.
Your generosity helps keep soccer inclusive and strengthens our community. Want to help, email admin@marshallyouthsoccer.com.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What does MUSA and MYSA stand for?
Marshall United Soccer Association (MUSA)
Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (MYSA)
- How old does my child have to be to play soccer?
Programs start at U6 (ages 5-6) for recreational play and U10 (ages 8-9) for competitive play. Check out Our Soccer Teams & Programs page.
- Do parents need to stay for practice?
No, parents do not need to stay at practice. Please be on time to pick up your child after practice. Coaches are not allowed to leave practice until all the players have been picked up. Players that ride their bikes or walk to practice are an exception.
- How can I register my child?
Registration varies by season. Check out Registration & Resources section for current program offerings
- Are shin guards required?
Yes, please be sure to choose the correct size. Players often prefer shin guards that do not have a cloth backer. This style can absorb sweat and start to irritate skin.
- Are cleats required?
Yes. No metal cleats and no cleats with a toe cleat at the tip of the toe. A toe cleat is common on rubber baseball/football cleats and needs to be removed for soccer. Soccer cleats are designed to provide great ball control and players can definitely feel a difference in “touch” on the ball.
